Denmark's largest fjord, Limfjorden, with the ever-changing scenery surrounding it, forms a natural backdrop to our work and is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the staff of Lene Bjerre Design A/S. The surroundings provide a plentiful source of inspiration for creating new collections of home interior products. Further, our design team always uses the company's values and 35-year heritage as overall parameters in the development process, which ensures consistency and recognisability, and both the Lene Bjerre brand and our retailers benefit from that. Lene Bjerre is known for its floral textiles, candelabra and other home interior products, which have a classic romantic style with abundant detailing. We nevertheless observe fashion trends and changing value standards. Current trends inspire us, and we consider them with a view to incorporating them into Lene Bjerre's universe. In the current season, characterised as it is by financial crisis, people are keen to go back to their roots, and they dream of leading a simple life in the country and enjoying nature as well as the things they hold dear, which has inspired our design team to create a new line of products – with a somewhat more rustic look than usual for Lene Bjerre. Materials such as environmentally friendly rubber wood, willow, rattan, ceramics, flax and rough cotton add a relaxed summer atmosphere to our latest collection, and they are set off by slightly more elegant materials such as porcelain, glass and silver.

 

We love the summer season, being outdoors ...... walking barefoot in the grass, enjoying long evenings on the terrace and hearing bees hum around the herbs. At long last it is time for togetherness, relaxation, mindfulness and reflection. Let a welcome calm descend so everything feels almost like in the "good old days". The SPRING 2012 collection is created for this atmosphere and is Lene Bjerre's tribute to the Danish summer.
